Service pricing guide
Price your time properly — whether you charge by the hour, by the project, or with packages.
Service businesses often forget that their cost is time. Hamesh helps you set an hourly base, add overhead, and convert that into clear fixed-fee quotes you can actually send to clients.
Step by step
- 1
Calculate your true hourly cost
Take your monthly overhead (rent, software, salaries) plus the salary you want to pay yourself, and divide by realistic billable hours per month.
- 2
Add a service to your library
Create the service with a default rate and unit (per hour, per session, per project). Reuse it on every quote.
- 3
Build a fixed-fee package
Estimate hours, multiply by your rate, then add a buffer for revisions. Hamesh shows the resulting margin so you know your floor.
- 4
Send a quote with terms
Quote the client with deliverables, deadlines, and payment terms. Convert to an invoice once accepted.
Helpful tips
Stop quoting in hours
Clients prefer fixed prices. Quote the outcome, but use hours internally to make sure the price is profitable.
Charge for revisions
Include a number of revisions in your base price and a per-revision rate after that. This is a Hamesh service item too.
